I was searching for concept inspiration the other night, when I came across this house located in Sonoma, CA. It's a modern interpretation of a barn by Walker Warner Architects. 

I could handle a weekend or two here right now.

Beach Bungalow

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I'm having trouble focusing on work today. It's especially difficult after spending the weekend on the water south of Boston. It's amazing what a beautiful view and the smell of salt air can do for the soul. This is my favorite time of year. I can only dream of having a little bungalow on the water someday. I don't need a big house,  just one near the ocean. I love this fresh, crisp bungalow featured in Architectural Digest. The white walls, sculptural furniture choices and limited color palette are beautiful, notice all the amazing rug choices! I love each and every one! Happy Summer!! Happy Tuesday! Inspired - Wood Ceilings

I love the warmth wood ceilings add to a home. I am especially drawn to lighter shades of wood. It's so important not to forget your "fifth" elevation when designing a room! I always address the ceilings when working on client projects.



I love Lee Kleinhelter's simple, graphic spaces. I wonder if she'll be relocating from her city dwellings anytime soon, I always enjoy seeing her latest projects!

Room of the Week 7.21.11

I love the pickled walls and floor in this image. Everything about this space conjures up thoughts of lazy summer days away from home! I'm heading out to Nantucket in a couple of weeks! I can hardly wait, but I will, because June just disappeared! I LOVE the summer.
