PPP backs commissionerate system in Sindh: Memon

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has explained that Local Government system has been reinstated in the province to restore law and order situation.
Speaking to newsmen in Karachi today, Memon said that “PPP favors commissioner system in Sindh.” Sindh would not be separated until unless last PPP activist was alive, he said, adding Sindh’s partition would be done at our dead bodies.
To a question about ongoing protests against the revival of Local Government system, Memon termed it as people’s fundamental right. “We are ready to take every step to ensure peace,” he said.
He announced that amendments would be made in the Local Government System in consultation with all parties. Memon further said that “we don’t want to ignite the fire of hatred and our first priority is to save life of common man.”
