Life is Sweet

Thursday night Mr. Wonderful brought home a sweet surprise for me. He walked in the door after work and handed me a heartwarming card and a box of cupcakes! He told me that he knew the way to my heart was through my sweet tooth! Ha ha! He knows me!

I had just finished dinner and {not to toot my own horn} but it was soooo good. Nothing fancy. Just Teriyaki Chicken, Szechuan Green Beans and Brown Rice. A nice, healthy meal. Dele also had it for leftovers for lunch the next day and he said it tasted even better {with the flavors having really set in}.

After dinner we dived into our yummy cupcakes!....

Here's a funny pic {that I snapped with my cell phone} with an equally funny story. One day this week I stepped on the scale to weigh myself while Ilah was in the bathroom with me. After I did so, I returned the scale back on the stand and I went to grab a sweatshirt to put on. All of a sudden I hear a {THUMP}! I peer over to Ilah and she had removed the scale from where I put it and stood on it to weigh herself as she saw me just do! Hilarious!

Last night I met up with a girlfriend to have dinner at an Italian Eatery. It was nice to get out for a bit and delve into my favorite food....Italian food! We tried a new place this time around and ventured to the other side of town....

RosaMia is a quaint Italian restaurant that serves up authentic Italian cuisine. The owners, who work there hands-on, doing any and everything, even playing hostess and waitress, are two women/friends in their late fifty's who partnered up to open up this little hole in the wall restaurant. They are just so cute together - you should see them. We, along with a few others, stayed until closing and they prepped their little table for 2 to have dinner together after they locked their doors for the night. My girlfriend and I just thought that was so sweet!

No big plans for the weekend. We've been wanting to see The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon. Maybe we will get out to see it....

Ilah got up unusually early this morning so we started our day at 7:00 a.m. as opposed to 8:30 a.m. She is now down for her nap so I jumped on the computer to do this post and now it's time to dive into finishing up the laundry. I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!
