A JC Penney mailer arrived in our mailbox a few days ago and as I skimmed the inside pages, the smiley face pancake pan below caught my eye - I'm loving it! I immediately started to think about Ilah getting to the age where she can eat solid foods and I can prepare special things for her - like smiley face pancakes! When I was growing up, my dad would often make "pigs in a blanket" [sausage wrapped inside of a folded egg] for me on the weekend {something that I still remember - which means I found that to be pretty special}. I look forward to doing these same simple, yet memorable, things for our child{ren} too...smiley face pancakes on the weekend just might be one of them : )

Personally, I love this last one....pancakes with powdered sugar and raspberries! Yum!!
